Thursday 11th April

SHE SAID:

I slept surprisingly well after such a rich food-filled day yesterday.

We started the morning with a cooked breakfast & managed a short walk around the gardens & to the old local church when the rain had stopped. Mum & John headed back to Henfield & I suggested the rest of us have a wander around Lewes.

As we had till 4pm to return the car we went back to Horsham via Devils Dyke. The low cloud hid the view from us, as is often the case up there, but the cuppa & log fire in the restaurant warmed us up nicely & made up for the lack of vista.

Back in Horsham Mum arrived back about 1 minute after us, & the rest of the day was quiet. Kiyoka made us a lovely dinner & we rounded it off with some of the leftover high tea leftovers we brought back from Horsted Place.

HE SAID:

It was not the best day for touring but the rain held off at Devil's Dyke. We've been before, and on a good day it is good view. Oh well.
