We had about 360km drive today. We are heading west & south, with our ultimate destination being Bouvard on Thursday. Though, we only went to a dot on the map north of Woodridge today.
I was very happy to find the Paynes Find Rufous in flower at our first scheduled stop, a first for me.
In Moora we got some groceries, fuel, & lunch & found the rain again.
We arrived at the Back to Nature Caravan Park around 2.30pm. The “finding our site” process was painful, as was the “owner/caretaker”; thankfully we are only here for 1 night.
I zoomed out to a stop I’d found in June whilst house sitting at Woodridge. Geoff had found budding Spider orchids, & I hoped to find them out. I was quite surprised to see that the one he had & another 20 or so all in bud!

What a wanker! The bloke at the Back to Nature Caravan Park really annoyed me! He had rung in the morning to say that he would be out when we arrived and that we should head for the caravans and park on the site with a red traffic cone. Okay.
Well, we arrived at the park and there were two directions to head for caravans, and half a dozen cones on sites! Then, while Varena and I are trying to work out what was best, a couple of blokes (one of which we later found out was the one that had called earlier, but didn't identify himself) try to tell Varena what to do, and start waving their hands like semaphore signallers to direct me. I was having none of it, and just wanted Varena to guide me to the right site, which is normal. At one stage the super-knob put the cone on his head, as if to make out that I was not seeing him, as I wasn't following his fuckwittery antics and arm-waving; I hadn't moved the car yet, and I didn't want this bozo giving us directions. At this stage I was fuming and wondering about just leaving, as was Varena, but it was late arvo and we didn't know where else to go. Eventually, between Plonker McPlonk-face and Varena we got the van into position. I hope to never see that c%#$ again.
