Geoff & I headed out to an area north of North Bannister, for a look around. We had been here in 2020 in October, which was a little late. This time we were spot on. We found 16 different orchids, with the Northern Darting Spider in big numbers.
The burn that went through wasn’t seen. No surprise, & it didn’t hit the orchid hot spot either.
We had a late burger lunch in Boddington before having a 2nd stop at the Mooradung NR, where we bumped into Jen & Murray. They are Boddington locals & know so much about orchids. It was nice to see them both again.
It was 5.20pm by the time we got back to the house.

It was another long day of orchiding. We found plenty, so Varena was very happy. And, I got a hamburger for lunch! So I was happy, too! We sat on a bench seat out front of the take-away to eat, and a random, probably homeless, man came and sat next to Varena. He wasn't a problem, and never said a word, it was just a little awkward on the three-seater bench as we tried to wrangle our large and tasty burgers, and have a chat about our orchid finds and other things.
