SHE SAID:
Geoff & I headed to Boyup Brook (again, last week was for orchids), this time it was to see about a house sit for 5 weeks at the end of November to the 7th January.
Jacqueline & Tim own a couple of organic farms & want to base themselves at one & not have to “commute” between the 2 so much, but there are chickens to let out & feed. The sit seems to be good, & we enjoyed homemade pancakes for morning tea with them.
Of course, on the way back to Bouvard we attempted to avoid the rain, but failed, but did have a couple of orchid stops. Yes, we found some.

HE SAID:
It was a couple of hours each way to the potential house-sit in Boyup Brook. There was rain along the way, but coffee and pancakes when we got there, so all good. We had a good chat with Tim and Jacqueline, and also met a couple of their neighbours, Glenda and Carol, who pop over sometimes to see the toy poodles; Glenda and Carol are probably 80-ish, so we were a bit surprised. Tim and Jacqueline didn't really want to discuss much about the house-sit, as it will all be different when we get there due to their moving a lot of stuff to their other farm. Fair enough, we'll just wing it when we get there.
Tim grew up in Esperance, and it turns out that he and Jacqueline know Rob and Wendy Stewart, who we house-sat for at Warden Road, Esperance in 2021/2022. Small world.
