Monday 25th November
SHE SAID:
Back to wintry weather today. There was rain on the air, a cold southerly wind, & cloudy; a top of 19c I think.
Geoff made spicy eggs & bacon for breakfast, & we had a quiet morning in the van. The cricket went on & Geoff watched the slow loss by Australia to India.
I managed to get out around midday when the sun came out, but the wind was still cold. I found some Little Ducks, & a King-in-his-Carriage still going, just!
I got fuel on the way back to the van park & saw Wendy in the post office which adjoins the servo-come-hardware shop. We had a short chat, but there were customers coming & going so it was hard to really talk.

HE SAID:
It was cool and blowy this morning so Varena was in no hurry to go out - the sun orchids were very unlikely to be showing themselves when it is this cool. And, with the first test approaching its end I decided to stay in and torture myself by watching it. It wasn't pretty, but could have been worse. There are four more tests to come so it is too early to start any hand-wringing.
