Sunday 24th November
SHE SAID:
We headed out looking for Suns today, the weather is finally hot & sunny.
It seemed quite hot. I’m not so good with the heat anymore, but to see the Suns in their full glory they like hot & sunny! I think it got to 27c by midday. We had some success, with Geoff finding most of them.
We were back for lunch & so that Geoff could carry on watching the cricket.
I headed out solo in the afternoon, finding more Suns & a very tall Club-lipped Spider: 750mm. In the books it says they grow to 400mm!
Pizza for dinner: homemade, in that we buy the plain bases & then load them with yummy topping.
Caravan Park roo's with baby roo's!
Suns
HE SAID:
Fighting our way through dense bush, uphill, in the full sun, made us get quite hot this morning. Luckily, we found a few sun orchids. Varena was very happy. What was not good was signs of orchids at another spot having been dug up by humans. Ar$&h@les!
This caravan park is in need of a lot of work to make it nice, instead of being more like a bush camp. That is why I am surprised that I have not seen anything, bar one rubbish collection, in the days we have been here. Being in a eucalypt forest means that there is always going to be trimming, clearing, raking, plus track maintenance, bathroom and toilets upgrades, and some stage, perhaps even a mesh wifi system running from the office internet. But it doesn't appear to be happening that I can see.
I was not happy with the cricket. India scored a stack of runs and then Australia lost 3 for 12 by stumps. We'll be chasing well over 500 runs tomorrow, so it is as good as lost. Bugger.
Homemade pizza for dinner was very tasty.
