Friday 29th November
SHE SAID:
We had a quiet day at the house, though seeing the sheep out of the bedroom window at 7.15am was a surprise! The gate to the driveway was open, & it shouldn't be! Anyhow, hopefully no harm done.
The chickens are all present & correct, more eggs were awaiting us.
In the afternoon both Geoff & I battled to get my new Australian passport application done & submitted. We think it was the DFAT website being VERY slow, to the level of timing out, & not recognizing things. I think it took 90 minutes from start to submission & printing to do a simple passport renewal! I guess that tells you the state of the government!

The owner of the house here likes Australian native orchids too! |
HE SAID:
In my haste to bring in Varena's flowers, and the groceries, yesterday I may have left the gate to the house area open. I'm not sure, as others use the gate too, but it may well have been me. Oh well.
The DFAT site was atrocious; so slow! It was a very frustrating time as putting the information in was quick and easy, but the processing of each item, which was automatically done on the page, was horrendous.
While checking on the water for the sheep, which aren't meant to be here, according to Tim and Jacqueline when we met them a couple of months ago, I managed to brush my shin against the live wire of the fox prevention electric fencing. Ouch! I'll keep a better eye out next time.
