Saturday 30th November
SHE SAID:
Jacqueline had sorted the chickens out when we finally got going around 8am. She did explain why the hens & chicks need to be separate, & it makes sense now, but not at the beginning!
Geoff headed off with Tim on a cattle welfare check at another property.
I got several days of photos sorted. Now that I’m not dashing here, there, & everywhere I have much more time on my hands to get on with the photos.
The weather did get into the low 30c’s today, with strong winds, which isn’t good bush fire wise. I found out late in the day there was a fire north of Helm's Arboretum started by a harvester, but has impacted Helms & further to the west of Esperance. Hopefully it hasn’t done too much damage in the arboretum.

HE SAID:
This morning Tim asked me if I wanted to go along for the ride when he went to their other property. We knew about another property, but this is a third one! The point of the short drive was to check on the dozen cattle there, and check the dams, the electric fencing, gates and just have a look around the 350 or so acres. On our return journey we found a local farmer considering how best to manage the huge limb that had fallen from an overhanging gum tree and onto the road, probably not long after Tim and I had been under it. He said he'd bring a dozer down and drag it clear. We polished off the spag bol for dinner: Yummo!
