We had a shopping excursion into Busselton. Geoff had a short list of things to do so I joined him. He was mainly after some new hiking shoes that he can wear as everyday shoes too. There was a 30% off sale in Anaconda, so we headed there.
I also got a 30% off shirt, which is infused with bug repellent. A couple of people I know have them, plus they are sun-rated too. It was still expensive for a shirt, but I’ll see how it goes.
Back at the house it was a quiet & hot rest of the day; it got to 34c.

HE SAID:
Nothing was urgent but I wanted to do a couple of things in town, and we’ve been fairly quiet lately, so off we went. The pool water needed testing, and it was found to need some TLC. Lucky I thought to do it. And, as we were passing one of the cheaper fuel outlets in the area we stopped in and filled up the ute - first time since January 21st. Aldi was next door, so in we went.
Anaconda was not far away so I tried on some hiking boots and bought a pair. Without the 30% off I would not have bothered, but done more research for the best price. Then it was to an outdoors shop for a gas hose o-ring, as the Weber here at the house is unusable until a new one is fitted. The Post Office was next, to check the PO box.
After that there was a small chance that I’d stop in at the car wash on the way back to the house but I’d had enough by then. We actually got things done! A brief swim in the late afternoon was just what we needed.
