We headed out for the morning sightseeing. Yes, there are still some places we haven’t been to in The Capes area. First stop was a couple of surf beaches to the south of Gracetown: Lefthanders & Cobblestone. Lefthanders was chocker block full of 4WDs & utes, nowhere for us to park, but the smaller car park overlooking Cobblestones was less full.
We spent a while wandering on the beach, watching the surfers, & then doubled back to Lefthanders. This time we got parking, but I was only after a couple of photos & we didn’t make the sand.
From here we went to the Margaret River mouth, which has a large sand bar across it, stopping it flowing into the ocean. I wonder how often this one opens?
I didn’t have breakfast this morning, so we headed for Margaret River town. I had the yearning for a Lamb Doner Kebab! It was early for 11.45 but it went down very nicely.

As it is a quiet time of year for orchids Varena thought that we should do some sightseeing. We had a nice morning drive, checking out some beaches and the Margaret River mouth. Varena's kebab craving overwhelmed her and we went in to Margaret River for a lamb Doner Kabab. It was very tasty, with an exceptionally good pita bread wrap.
