Sunday 8th June

SHE SAID:

Leaving Geoff to do the washing, Mum & I headed over to Henfield for the annual garden & arts festival. We met up with John, who was able to come outside with his walker & sit with us in the gardens of Red Oaks, where he lives. It is the first time he has been outside in 10 weeks, under his own steam.

The weather was kind, mild & partly sunny. There were lots of people around, market stalls, a BBQ, & live music. We had a hot dog & a cuppa with John, then left him for a wander around the village looking at some of the open gardens. After about 5 places Mum had had enough so rejoined John whilst I checked out a few more on the other side of the village.

The Cat House is well known in Henfield

HE SAID:

We had the washing on. There was footy on. And, wandering art and gardens is not my thing. So, we all seemed happy with what we wanted to do today.
