It is our last full day orchid hunting with Nikki. We headed south of Narrogin to several spots, a couple of new ones, then a favourite of Nikki’s, & one that Geoff & I have been to a few times.
There wasn’t much different stuff found, though the prize definitely was the hybrid Dancing Spider with the Chapman's Spider, it was a stunner.
Nikki shouted us dinner at the New Cornwall Hotel. It was very good; the meals all came out together & I got my meal this time around...LOL!

HE SAID:
We had a fairly successful day out orchiding. Varena and Nikki seemed quite pleased with the orchids, and I got well fed, so good all round!
Dinner at the New Cornwall was interesting. The atmosphere and presentation when we first walked in seemed a bit ordinary, but the food was good (especially the parmi), and the atmosphere improved when a group of 20 or so people came in from the beer garden. I think an Indian family must have recently taken over the business, as the usual pub fare is equally matched with tasty sounding curries etc. Also, the staff seemed brand new, feeling their way through operating the beer taps and till. All was fine in the end, and I'd encourage them to look at some instructional videos on pouring Guinness, as it needs a little work.
