Geoff, Nikki & I had another excellent day out. Lots of orchids seen, some new ones for the year, but far & away the highlight was the spotting of a juvenile Numbat which was semi-hidden under a hollowed-out log! How I spotted it I have no idea; it was on my side of the car & when it came into the sunlight it was perfect for photos.
I think everyone was on cloud nine watching the little critter. I got a couple of short videos too, re-watching it was awesome!

HE SAID:
We ended up having a fairly long day out. Looking for Numbats is very slow work. Luckily there were plenty of orchids to keep the girls amused. My smoked salmon wrap for lunch, and the left over beef curry in the evening, went down very well.
